Another chance to win flowers, and more offers across Westside for Mother’s Day

Businesses on Westside will be ‘saying it with flowers’ as the area prepares to celebrate Mother’s Day in style.

Members of the BID team are working with Ethos Flowers in Brindleyplace on a Mother’s Day competition called #SpecialMemories in Westside.

The competition, which is being run on Instagram, will allow four people at home to win a bouquet courtesy of Ethos Flowers.

To be in with a chance of winning, people need to follow Ethos Flowers and Westside BID on social media platforms, and then send a message to the BID with an image of you and your family, together with a brief statement as to why your mum should receive the bouquet.

The lucky winner will be announced on Monday 8 March.

Many other venues within the Westside BID area have also adapted to this year’s slightly different Mother’s Day by running competitions and introducing dining offers, mainly offering services online due to the current COVID-19 restrictions. This includes:

  • As previously announced, Broadway Plaza is holding a Mother’s Day competition which will see one lucky daughter and mum win a bouquet. For details visit their website: https://broadway-plaza.co.uk
  • Bistrot Pierre in Gas Street is inviting people to say a special thank you to their mum by treating her to one of the restaurant’s Mother’s Day Bistrot Boxes for just £45 for two people, or £75 for four. The Bistrot Box includes a 4-course menu featuring dishes everyone will love. More details at: Bistrot Pierre dining for Mum
  • Park Regis Birmingham hotel in Broad Street is offering Mother’s Day treats for the future with 10% off all massages at its Shakina Spa, plus afternoon tea in the 1565 restaurant with a complimentary fizz and a gift for mum, or even a money voucher for her to spend how she likes. For more information, visit: Park Regis treats for Mum
  • Sainsbury’s in Brindleyplace is also inviting people to cheer up their mum this Mother’s Day by purchasing one of their many cards and gifts. Full details at: Mother’s Day at Sainsbury’s

Meanwhile, if you are unsuccessful in the Ethos Flowers competition, why not treat your mother to a beautiful bouquet anyway? They can be bought by calling 0121 616 6182 or online at www.ethosflowers.com.

Luisa Huggins, Westside BID’s media and communications manager, said: “I am so pleased to see how well venues are adapting to the circumstances and confidently operating their businesses.

“I encourage people to shop local or independent this Mother’s Day.”
