Watch our keen foodie Cherelle enjoy eating out deal at The Figure of Eight

Watch our 40-second video to see Birmingham foodie Cherelle enjoy her ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ meal at The Figure of Eight pub on Broad Street, Birmingham.

The Wetherspoons pub is just one of many venues on Westside that are taking part in the government-funded ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme, which aims to encourage people back to the city as lockdown restrictions ease.

Diners receive a 50% off discount when they eat at any time on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays until the end of August, up to a maximum of £10 per person.

Cherelle said: “That was a very tasty meal and getting up to £10 off makes it a real bargain as well.”

Cherelle has also posted a close-up video of the food she enjoyed on her Instagram account @___Cherelle (that’s THREE underscores before her name!).

Luisa Huggins, media manager at Westside BID, said: “We’re really keen to assist BID members by giving them additional exposure, and the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme is the perfect opportunity to do this.

“All our venues have carefully incorporated health and safety precautions to ensure staff and visitors are safe.

“I think this scheme is a brilliant concept and we are gradually seeing footfall beginning to increase in and around the district.”

Carl Russell is the general manager at The Figure of Eight who served Cherelle to her meal.

He said: “This video is not only a creative way of encouraging people back to our restaurants but also highlights the safety precautions we have taken as a business.

“We are thankful to the team at the BID for helping us to market this great promotion.” The video was produced by our video team at Magic Lantern Media. If you’d like their help, contact them at enquiries@magiclanternmedia.co.uk.
