On Thursday 28th Jan on Question Time, Yardley MP Jess Phillips made remarks about women being “baited and heckled” every week on Broad Street. This morning, Friday 29th January, Westside General Manager Mike Olley spoke to Danny Kelly to talk about her ill-informed remarks.

Since 2005, the BID has made Broad Street a safer place to enjoy a night out. Within Westside, Wardens, City Pastors, Taxi Marshals, Door Staff, West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Police all work together to ensure the safety of all those who visit Broad Street.

Mike Olley discussed this with Danny Kelly and invites Jess Phillips to experience Broad Street for herself.

His interview can be found on the link below, at the 08:30 mark.
