For one week only…

Symphony Hall – widely considered one of the finest concert halls in the world – is promoting its exclusive event space for Asian Weddings. The prestigious concert hall, which has never hosted a wedding, will now be opening its doors to couples planning their nuptials later this year.

Bride and Grooms still looking to find that perfect city centre venue for this summer can now take advantage of a fantastic opportunity at one of Birmingham’s most iconic venues.

From 24th August to 2nd September 2017, Symphony Hall is showcasing The Next Stage with a festival of events and activities aimed at highlighting the flexibility and creativity that installing The Next Stage can bring to any event.

This will be a unique opportunity to experience Symphony Hall as you’ve never seen it before – The Next Stage is a floating flat floor which can be installed over the entire stalls seating area.

The innovative solution uses over 300 stage decks to create a floating tiered floor providing a 600sqm floor area with a banqueting capacity of 620. A bespoke balustrade system using the latest LED technology has been developed especially for the project.

Because weddings can take place alongside The Next Stage festival events couples can take advantage of a heavily discounted rate which will include professional light and sound and technical support.

A standing reception can accommodate 1000 and banquet style for a dinner and dance can comfortably hold 500 or 620 without the main stage.

Anita Bhalla OBE, Chair, Performances Birmingham Limited (the leading music charity which manages Town Hall and Symphony Hall) said “The Next Stage marks a hugely significant step in Symphony Hall’s history, opening up the hall in response to demand from the corporate and events industry, and providing a valuable new income stream for the charity in these financially challenging times. For CSR-conscious organisations, holding an event at Symphony Hall (or indeed at Town Hall) supports the charity’s valuable education and talent development programme which reaches 18,000 people each year and underpins our artistic programme which brings the best in the world to Birmingham.”

More details of the events taking place during The Next Stage Festival will be announced in April.
