New films from Friday 14th August

Another new week at Cineworld Broad Street brings more cinematic choice for our customers, and another chance for any Unlimited Card holders to boost their tallies. So treats do we have this week, lets find out.

Our new film in our IMAX screen is the action thriller ‘The Man From Uncle’. Director Guy Ritchie brings the world of U.N.C.L.E. to a new generation of filmgoers, with Man of Steel lead Henry Cavill as Napoleon Solo and Lone Ranger star Armie Hammer as his Russian cohort, Illya Kuryakin.

Also new in IMAX is ‘Pixels 3D’ in which Adam Sandler leads the fightback against arcade game alien invaders in this imaginative sci fi comedy.

After a great success in the US, the excellent comedy ‘Trainwreck’ heads to our cinema this weekend. It stars Amy Schumer as a magazine writer who meets the man of her dreams in this finely tuned rom-com from Judd Apatow.

Simon Pegg is back in our cinema, fresh from the success of ‘Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation’ in his own comedy ‘Absolutely Anything’ Monty Python’s Terry Jones directs this hilarious comedy about a man given the power to have anything he wants.

Looking for a gritty documentary then look no further as we have ‘Precinct Seven Five’. Director Tiller Russell’s gripping documentary expose looks at the 1980s New York police detectives who worked hand in hand with some of the city’s most brutal drug gangs.

From the author of The Fault in Our Stars, comes the Paper Towns adaptation starring Cara Delevingne and Nat Wolff. It’s a coming-of-age story centring on Quentin and his enigmatic neighbour Margo, who loved mysteries so much she became one. After taking him on an all-night adventure through their hometown, Margo suddenly disappears–leaving behind cryptic clues for Quentin to decipher. The search leads Quentin and his quick-witted friends on an exhilarating adventure that is equal parts hilarious and moving.
