You may have noticed there are number of colourful owls in the Westside area.

This is all a part of ‘The Big Hoot Project’.

The Big Hoot is a ten week public art event,  incorporating all districts of Birmingham.  Starting today, Monday 20th July, there 89 large owl sculptures have  landed all over Birmingham, all individually created by talented artists, and sponsored by the business community of Birmingham.

In the Westside area you will find Owls around the ICC, Centenary Square, Gas Street and Brindleyplace.

In addition, there are 122 smaller Owlet sculptures in 18 locations across Birmingham, all designed by Birmingham schools, as part of the Little Hoot education programme.
